Let's Thank God

Let's Thank God

 Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!

  Serve the Lord with gladness!

Come into his presence with singing!

  Know that the Lord, he is God!

It is he who made us, and we are his;

we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving,

and his courts with praise!

Give thanks to him; bless his name!

  For the Lord is good;

his steadfast love endures forever,

and his faithfulness to all generations.

- Psalm 100:1–5.

Have you ever noticed how children’s prayers are filled with thanksgiving? It's the only way they know how to talk to God. But as we grow, our prayers to requests and laments. That's fine. They are biblical. But we must never forget to thank God for who he is, what he’s done, and what he gives (and doesn't give). Psalm 100 helps us get started.
